Before the establishment of an independent division of pediatric otolaryngology in Children's Hospital, the Hospital's medical and teaching services concerning otolaryngology were supported and helped by China Medical University Hospital’s Department of Otolaryngology. Common otolaryngologic diseases in children include otitis media, tinnitus and dizziness, hearing impairment, otitis externa, otitis media with effusion, hyposensitization therapy, nasal congestion, rhinitis, allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, nasal sarcoma, nosebleeds, sore throat, dysphagia, hoarseness, language disorders, tonsillitis, tongue and oropharyngeal diseases, snoring, upper respiratory tract infection, ankyloglossia, unclear speech, nasolacrimal duct obstruction, hearing impairment, furred tongue, and microtia. The Division provides high quality treatment.
