The main work of the Division is diagnosing and treating children suffering from infectious diseases. In addition to vaccination counselling, outpatient and inpatient services, and consultations are also provided for children with infectious diseases from other divisions. Since the establishment of the contracted virus laboratory in the Hospital eight years ago, the diagnosis rate of infectious diseases in children and the teaching quality of resident physicians have been improved. Furthermore, the hospital is designated by the Centers for Disease Control as a referral hospital for severe cases of enterovirus.
