Despite individual differences in language development, it is generally developed in a certain order according to age. Therefore, when children start late and progress slow in language development and the final level of development is lower than that of ordinary children, they suffer from speech and language delay and disorders. Communication disorders in children with articulation disorders or developmental delay include: 1) dysarthria; 2) dysphonia; 3) delayed speech or language development; 4) stuttering; and 5) multiple speech and language impairment (e.g. cleft palate and cerebral palsy). The Division provides evaluation and treatment of language comprehension and expression disorders, language delay, dysarthria, rhythm disorders and voice disorders, as well as assessment and training of the use of communication disorders auxiliary systems.
