The Division of Pediatric Cardiology of the Hospital is the center of open-heart surgery for congenital heart disease in central Taiwan, and is also the only medical center in central Taiwan that is able to perform complex congenital cardiac diseases surgery. We provide interventional (therapeutic) cardiac catheterization with excellent track records, including balloon catheterization, spiral spring coil embolization, stent vasodilation, closure of atrial septal defects, high-frequency pulmonary atresia burnthrough, cardiac electrophysiology and incomplete pulse cauterization, and repair of atrial septal defects. Prospects: To provide the best quality of medical care: Take care of critically ill children by combining departmental specialties. Due to the increasing severity of disease in the Hospital, the difficult medical treatment needs the assistance of each department. In addition to the subspecialties in orthopedics in the Department of Pediatrics, we also discuss with the divisions such as pediatric surgery, cardiac surgery, pathology, radiology, radiation oncology, and nutrition to provide professional holistic care. The Division of Pediatric Cardiology also strengthens the exchange with the divisions of pediatric cardiology and cardiac surgery of the domestic and foreign medical centers, comprehensively improves the diagnosis and treatment of infant heart disease, and steps up the level of the PICU team taking care of the sick children before and after the open-heart operation, and critically ill children, so that they can get the best therapeutic effects.
